UPDATE 10pm - Good news, the gendarmerie issued a statement at 9.30pm saying the British woman who went missing in the Charente has been found 'safe and well'.

Today, Thursday, the gendarmerie in the Charente has issued an appeal for help in connection with a British woman who's gone missing from the place where she was staying on holiday at Feuillade, close to the border with the Dordogne.
The woman, who's not been named, but whose photo is above, is 72.
She disappeared at around 10am.
She is described as being about 5ft 4ins to 5ft 5ins tall, of average build, with brown hair and she is likely to be wearing grey trousers and a blue jacket.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the gendarmes at La Rochefoucauld on 05 45 62 00 19.
